		<description>Thanks for the comment Helen. Nope, we didn&#039;t see the fishing village - sounds intriguing. Unfortunately, we have seen plenty of evidence of the EU boats all along the coast from Morocco to here and often fishing illegally. And yep, the reduced fish stocks really are a disaster for people here (in Mauritania, the government sold the fishing rights to the EU and so Mauritanians now often have to buy fish from their own waters from the EU at European prices...).</description>

		<description>Nice writing, great hearing your experience and reading about the town I was born in.  Did you see the fishing village of chalets built by the European company that came supposedly to teach the locals how to process their fish?.  But now the villagers have problems finding enough fish as their pirogues can&#039;t get out as far as the European boats, and the fish stock has been greatly reduced.</description>

		<description>Thanks Marlène, yep, I&#039;d recommend it (I&#039;ve found it a lot easier to read at the end of a day&#039;s cycling than Africa Since Independence, which is full of good stuff but quite hard going, in my opinion).
