Our homes for the night, in pictures

Blog posted by on Jan 17th, 2010

Well, we’ve been on the road for over ten months now and, during that time, we’ve made ourselves at home in all sorts of places, often thanks to the kindness of strangers. Although our plan to photograph every place we sleep has predictably fallen by the wayside, we have taken quite a few photos of the places we’ve slept along the way so far. Here’s a selection (for larger images, visit the “homes for the night” gallery):

Right, I’m off to find more ways to procrastinate over writing the long overdue update about our last two months on the road (too much to write!).

  1. I love the story that unfolds with campsite pics…love it. Many more happy patches for you to rest. X

  2. Hi Bex,

Happy new year to you abd Huw. Still going strong I hope.

That slideshow in your post, what is that? Is that part of NextGen Gallery? – What a clever idea in the space you have?

  3. love seeing your photos they just make you want to leave everything behind and go travelling!

  4. Thanks folks! Isabel, I should have taken a photo of Huw looking very yellow and with bright red eyes in the hospital bed to quell that wanderlust!!

Mike, yep, it’s part of NextGen. In our gallery pages, I’ve taken out the left column so the gallery can appear at its larger (default) size. In blogs, where there’s a narrower space, I’m specifying the width and height as well as the gallery id. So, for this one:

Shout if I’m not making sense :)

  5. I do not even understand how Istopped up right here, but I believed this submit

  6. Yours is an excellent example of informative writing.

I think my students could learn a lot from your writing style
and your articles. I may share this article
    with them.
