The traditional festival, Fantasia, which we stumbled across on the road between Rabat and Casablanca in northern Morocco. It’s a celebration of horsemanship (and, more recently, horsewomanship) in which the aim is for a team of horsemen to fire their muskets at the same time. Photographs by Huw, May 2009. You can also listen to our sound recording of the event, Fantasia (and the Power of Women).
