I believe your unidentified, bedraggled bird is a cattle egret in breeding plumage…amazing photos!

Daf, we love it when you love the photos :) Yep, the stars are amazing – especially the last few days, when we were on a tiny island. Just unbelievable – even though both our glasses are totally broken :)

great gallery, some really good photos there. love the wildlife, the birds, and st louis in the rain. and the hut at night is lovely, the utter darkness of night-time. i bet the stars are amazing.

The red bishop looks very impressive, and the old bull giraffe is such a beauty, I have never seen anything like it before!
